Homemade Face Mask Recipes for an Easy Skincare Routine

Homemade Face Mask Recipes for an Easy Skincare Routine

Having a skincare routine has become a necessity these days. With all the pollution in the environment, you need to take good care of your skin. A skincare routine for most people usually consists of a face wash, a toner and a moisturiser with some SPF. If you go through the aforementioned three step process every day and still have skin problems, then your skin probably needs something more. Your skin needs a boost to heal from all the damage done to it from the environment and from an unhealthy lifestyle.

You can help your skin’s natural renewal process by adding a weekly face mask for an easy skincare routine. There are a lot of different face masks available in the market but you can easily make a natural one in your own kitchen. Read through the entire article to find out which face mask will help you solve your particular skin problems, how to make it at home and get ready to pamper your skin at least once a week.

Skin problems and homemade face masks recipes to solve them:

Here’s a list of handpicked face mask recipes (to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin) just for you:

Acne:

If you have adult acne, there can be a host of reasons behind that including stress, unhealthy food, and even hormones. Apart from these, there is another major reason for acne and that is not cleaning your skin thoroughly which then leads to bacteria and dirt clogging the pores resulting in inflammation causing acne. Fortunately, you can make a simple face mask to resolve the issue. Just mash a banana, a few slices of tomatoes and mix them with some honey and mix them all into a paste-like consistency. Then use your hands to evenly spread the paste on your skin and rinse it off when it has dried completely. The potassium in bananas can help tighten your pores, the antioxidants and vitamin A in honey can reduce the production of sebum in the skin and the hydrating and antibacterial properties of honey can give your skin the healthy glow that it needs.

Hyper-pigmentation:

If you are suffering from sunburn or hyper-pigmentation causing uneven skin tone then you need to make a face mask to help resolve the issue. Just mash half a cup of papaya and mix it with two tablespoons of honey making a paste and apply it to your skin. Only 20 minutes of this face mask can help solve your problems as the enzyme called papain in papaya will help even out your skin tone. Rinse it off and over time you’ll see amazing results: you will finally be able to ditch that foundation — you use to colour correct your skin — for good.

Dry Skin:

If you have dry and flaky skin, you can mash half an avocado and mix it with five drops of cold pressed virgin olive oil and a teaspoon of honey. Applying this face mask can help treat dry skin as avocado consists of lecithin which can help deep moisturize the skin.

Accumulation of Dead Skin Cells:

Your face wash is not enough to remove dead skin cells from your skin. You need to exfoliate your skin to make it radiant. Blend 4 large pieces of pineapple and 3 tablespoons of cold pressed virgin olive oil into a paste-like consistency and gently apply it on your skin. The vitamin E in pineapple can help restore your skin’s natural glow. Another recipe is to mix half a cup of curd (plain yoghurt), half a tablespoon of turmeric and half a cup of finely ground oatmeal to make a paste.

Signs of Aging:

If you are trying to fight the signs of aging, you can mash 3 cooked carrots and mix it with 4  tablespoons of honey to form a paste and apply it to your skin. Rinse it off after 10 minutes and do this process once a week and you’ll see amazing results in no time. The vitamin A in carrots helps stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin which will bring that youthful glow back to your skin.

Linne Scrub Face Mask

If you have a lifestyle that is too hectic for you to work on finding the homemade recipe that works for you and you insist on using products from the market then we recommend you to use Linne Scrub Face Mask as an exfoliant and Verso Reviving Eye Mask to fight the signs of aging around your eyes.
